Blast, as his name suggests, has been a blast to train and trial with. He is what you would call an "old soul"; mature beyond his age, thoughtful, and always reading the room to find the quickest way to complete the job. He has been a breeze to train and it usually takes very few reps for him to grasp a concept. Always eager to work, he manages to combine drive with composure into one package.

Field work is where Blast really shines, having a flashy and stylish retrieve. He did his first water marks in July 2025 and had his junior hunter title by September, going 4/4 with ease. He is an exceptional marker, taking efficient lines and initiating quick hunts when needed, showcasing his innate aptitude for the field. He is currently working on building the skills for senior hunter.

Agility is another passion of mine, and I am thrilled to see Blast have the same excitement for jumps and tunnels as he does birds. Standing at just over 23 inches tall, with a lean physique and strong legs, he meets the Golden Retriever standard while still being built for speed. He is fast and driven while still being mindful of what his body is doing and what his handler is cuing. Blast started competing in agility in late 2026 earning his first few titles in short order.

While Blast is a serious worker, he is a sweetheart in the house, integrating easily with his two intact "brothers". He is attached at the hip to Bucky and will stop at nothing to get the attention of Bones. So far, those efforts have not been successful, but that won't stop him from trying. He is easy going in the house and just as happy to snuggle on the couch as he is to hunt in the field. Blast is overall neutral to other dogs, but loves to play with his friends when given the chance. His favorite activities are playing bitey face with Bucky, stealing my slippers, and relaxing in the evening with a stuffy in his mouth.

With a handsome face, keen intelligence, and a pedigree packed with field and performance lineage, Blast is the total package. He has excellent hips, normal elbows, a normal cardiac via echo and eye clearance with a clear genetic panel.

Blast is available at stud in Northern California. Contact owner Cassandra Isaacson.
